ABOUT ME
I am an interdisciplinary researcher interested in understanding human-nature relationships and promoting individual well-being and biodiversity conservation. I use observational, experimental and modelling approaches, from both the social and conservation sciences.

Outside of the lab, I am filling my time with nature hikes, rock climbing, bachata dancing, acrobatics, nature photography, horse riding and all sorts of things.

RESEARCH INTERESTS
Behavior change for biodiversity conservation
Human activities are one of the main causes of the biodiversity crisis, and solutions reside in changing human attitudes and behaviors towards the natural world. My research focuses on building knowledge about the key behaviors to change, and the means to do so.
Extinction of experience
Urbanization and urban lifestyles are increasingly disconnecting individuals from nature, in a process called the extinction of experience. My research focuses on understanding and documenting the causes and consequences of this phenomenon, and identifying ways to avert it.
Biodiversity and well-being
There is mounting empirical evidence that nature experiences deliver a wide range of benefits for health and well-being. My research focuses on identifying and quantifying those benefits.
Human preferences for species
I am interested in people's perceptions and preferences for some species (e.g. charismatic), and the impacts for design and implementation of conservation and environmental education projects.
